The largest city in the state, Albuquerque has a wide array of fun, interesting, and educational activities for the entire family   Let us create a custom tour for you and your group that will introduce you to the fun and excitement of our city.  Some of the many activities available are listed below.  Let us know if there are special interests or needs for your custom tour. Sandia Peak Aerial Tramway West Mesa Cinder Cones Nearby ghost towns of Madrid, Golden and Cerrillos Coronado National Monument pueblo ruins Petroglyphs National Monument Filming locations from Breaking Bad Historic Route 66 Buildings and Neon Signs Old Town Mission Church and Shops Maxwell Museum of Anthropology BioPark -- Zoo, Aquarium, Botanic Garden, Train Rides Pueblo Indian Cultural Center Explora - Hands On Childrens Museum and Activity Center Museum of Turquoise National Hispanic Cultural Center Albuquerque Museum of Art and History Rio Grande Nature Center The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History Various Casinos Albuquerque also changes with the seasons.  Spring brings the Gathering of Nations Powwow (America’s biggest powwow) where everyone is welcome. Organizers of the Powwow are committed to bringing you a fun experience and educational information representing Native American Indian (indigenous) culture in the most positive way. Late Summer welcomes the International Balloon Fiesta to town.  The world’s largest gathering of hot air balloons in all shapes and sizes compete in races, precision flying and just having the coolest balloon.  Mass ascensions fill the dawn sky with hundreds of balloons, and “glows,” light up the night with fantastical shapes and colors when the tethered balloons use their burners. Fall ushers in the New Mexico State Fair, the mostly highly attended state fair per capita in the country!  And with good reason...activities include the midway, parimutuel horse racing, rodeo, horse shows, livestock judging, the Indian and Hispanic cultural villages, arts and crafts exhibits, fantastic food, entertainers, and much, much more! Winter softens the harsh New Mexico landscape.  The strong winds die down, snow blankets the higher elevations, and best of all, many neighborhoods put out luminarias.  These homemade lanterns assembled from the most humble of materials -- candles, paper bags and sand--line every sidewalk, window sill, roof edge and garden wall.  On Christmas Eve night, the luminarias are lit and the whole city turns out to drive (headlights off) through these neighborhoods that have become fairylands of light.
